When Ruby signed up for an adult membership in October 2015, not only did she gain an active lifestyle, but new friends she now considers family. “If I miss one class, it doesn’t take long for someone to wonder, or ask, where I am” she says while explaining how the CGC staff, instructors and members make her feel special, "I count them as part of my extended family." Since joining, Ruby has made a splash in Aquafit and Zumba Gold classes. Both have helped her to become more active than she had been in years. She also enjoys the Track and Fitness Centre, and invites and encourages others to join her on a walk or workout. When she’s not working out, Ruby likes to read, listen to music and watch TV. "I am proud of my progress over the past nine months," says Ruby and we couldn't agree more!
