Linda Benn

Linda Benn has been an inspiration at the Canada Games Centre community since she joined in May of 2012. She says her favourite thing about the CGC is “the variety offered by the facility…there is always something to do!” As an influential member of the Masters swim team Linda is happiest when she is swimming lengths in the pool, but she can also be found cross training on the track and in the fitness centre. Linda’s 36 year career as a nurse has showed her what a sedentary lifestyle can do to the body “I want to slide into old age as healthy and fit as I can be!” Not only is Linda investing in her own fitness, she has the Master’s team spirit as well - she has helped with organizing swim meets, equipment orders, and team social events. She is also organizing a group to go to the world championships. Linda is a positive personality that loves her team – “They are a great group and we have wonderful coaches who know just how much to push!”
