Let us help you get out of your comfort zone and try something new in 2026! Our Winter 2026 Program Guide is filled with everything fitness. There are recreation, fitness, and aquatics programs for all ages and all fitness levels. Register for a classic favourite, or branch out and try something new.
Here are highlights from our programming team:
Recreation
- Badminton programs teach the rules, grips, techniques and provide a chance to reinforce skills while playing the game
- Learn the basics or take your game to the next level during Pickleball Fundamentals or Skills & Drills in the Field House (for ages 18+)
- Youth, Family, Adult and Para-Karate programs teach basic karate movements, skill development and are a great and fun way to stay active
Fitness and Wellness
Adult Specialized Programs (Ages 16+)
- Challenge your workout routine in one or more of our specialized programs – Iron Circuit or Toughen Up
- Let one of CGC’s female Personal Trainers teach you the strength exercises in Strength Training for Women (All Levels) that will set you up for success and boost your confidence during strength workouts
- Build foundational strength, increase coordination and endurance in our NEW Kettlebell Sculpt class. This class is designed for beginners and intermediates.
- Join Stability Ball Strength and Core! A NEW full body workout class centered around the Swiss Ball, designed for all fitness levels and ages.
Youth Programs (Ages 13-17)
- Youth Strength & Conditioning program provides youth in grades 10-12 an opportunity to work with a Personal Trainer and master the principles of effective training
- Youth Speed & Power will help you gain a solid foundation in speed, power and agility while improving your athleticism
Perinatal Programs
- Stroller Circuit provides parents the chance to enjoy cardio and strength workouts and have fun without leaving the little one out of the picture
- Prenatal Yoga honors the changes in our body as we connect to baby throughout these nine months. Find focus through balance, strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, and alleviate many common discomforts of pregnancy.
Wellness Programs (Ages 16+)
- Functional Pilates is your go-to if you’re looking to challenge yourself with a variety of standing, seated, and lying postures to help you gain core strength and stamina
- NEW! Barre Strength and Stretch – This ballet-inspired fitness class incorporates dance movements and yoga postures to challenge your muscular endurance while building strength and flexibility
- NEW! Somatic Yoga Supports the body’s natural healing processes. This type of yoga helps to relieve chronic pain, long held tensions and traumas stored in our bodies.
- New! Rest and Reset – Restorative Yoga. This is a restful, gentle & calming style of yoga, this class is designed to activate the relaxation response
- We offer other yoga programs too – Intro to Yoga and Yin Yoga
Fitness Services
- Fitness Services are also available and include Personal Training and Dryland Team Training
Aquatics Programs
- Learn basic aquatic survival skills and proper swimming technique with Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life programs, Group and Private inclusion swim lessons available
- Group lessons available for teens and adults
- Want to be a lifeguard or know the skills they have? If so, our Leadership Programs are the perfect fit for you. Learn vital first aid, lifeguard and lifesaving skills in our Aquatics Centre—a great path for youth employment!
- The CGC Swim Academy programs focus on technique, athletic integrity, and of course fun in these programs—Introduction to Competitive Swimming; Summer Swim Team Off-Season Training; Lifesaving Sport Team and Masters Swim Team
