  • Aquafit Class Cancellations – July 2nd & 3rd

    Monday, June 26th - Please note the following Aquafit classes are cancelled as our instructor is away on Sunday, July 2nd - 5pm Deep Aquafit & Monday, July 3rd - 9am Shallow Aquafit & 12pm Deep Aquafit. Thank you for your understanding.  

  • Field House Schedule Changes | July 7th-9th

    Friendly Reminder: We're excited to have the 2017 Bluenose Basketball Classic Tournament returning to the full Field House starting on Friday, July 7th at 4pm through to Sunday, July 9th at 6pm. The Track will be open during the event. These fitness classes have been moved to the Track Starting Blocks | July 8th - 9:15 am HIIT & 10:30am Zumba |  July 9th - 10am Cardio Combat.   • Reminder: Weekend Summer Hours begin July 2nd

    Starting Sunday, July 2nd, 2017, we will be closing at 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays for the summer. This schedule change will be in effect from Sunday, July 2nd through to Sunday, September 3rd.  Sunday's Female Only time (in the Aquatics Centre and Fitness Centre) will move to 6pm-6:45pm and Sunday's Male Only Swim is from 7pm-7:45pm.

Winter 2017 Drop-In Fitness Schedule Now Available!

This winter’s Drop-in Group Fitness schedule offers all the favourites, including some lunchtime additions and class changes added to the mix. Drop-in classes offer something for all ages and fitness levels, so try them all starting in January and achieve your New Year’s resolutions.

Here’s a preview of the changes from our Fitness Coordinator Ashley:

  • A second Tai Chi class has been added on Thursdays at 10:30am
  • New lunchtime classes | Spin Express on Tuesdays at 12:10pm with Dave & Yoga on Fridays at noon with Caroline
  • Another Spin class added on Thursdays at 5:30pm
  • Athletic Step is moving back to Thursdays at 6:30pm
  • Lianne’s 12:10pm Cardio Combat is moving to Wednesdays
  • Pumped is now on Wednesdays at 6pm with Calvin

*Please note: On holidays, we offer a reduced number of classes and will post these changes in advance on our website and Fitness notice boards within the facility.

What’s the difference between CGC’s Registered Fitness Programs and the Drop-in Group Fitness Classes included in your membership or day pass?

Registered Fitness Programs

Registered programs are designed for the participant who wishes to progress over the course of a program. Led by our certified instructors, these programs are smaller in size allowing for more specialized training and attention to help you reach your goals. Registered programs are not included in membership fees, but members do receive a discounted rate. Drop-In Group Fitness Classes

More than 45 Drop-In Fitness Classes a week are included in your membership or day pass. If you’re looking to cross-train or to try something new, these classes are designed for all fitness levels (unless otherwise noted). Zumba, aquafit, interval training, yoga, and more – pick your favourites from our Drop-in Group Fitness Schedule available online or at the Customer Service Desk.

Extra Simply Fit Sessions Available for the month of January

The Simply Fit session for members is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of the Fitness Centre. For January only,  extra Simply Fit sessions will be offered on the following days and times. For more information, click here.
