COVID-19 Precaution Notice

On Monday, November 15th, 2021, we were notified by Public Health regarding a potential exposure of COVID-19 in our facility with minimal risk to the public.

The individual visited the Family/Universal Change Room on Saturday, November 6th & 13th, 2021 from 8:55am-10:45am. There is no known exposure to anyone who attended the facility outside of the specified date and time.

What You Should Do

If you were present in the specified area on the named dates and times, you are required to follow the Public Health instructions in this table (http://policy.nshealth.ca/Site_Published/covid19/document_render.aspx?do…) for a COVID-19 Precaution Notification based on your vaccination status.

However, regardless of your vaccination status, Public Health recommends that you self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the exposure. Symptoms include a new or worsening cough, or two or more of the following: fever (i.e. chills, sweats), shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose/nasal congestion, or headache. Anyone who develops symptoms is required to self-isolate, book a PCR COVID-19 test, and stay isolated until you receive a negative test result.

Actions We’ve Taken

In addition to the ongoing disinfecting throughout the day, the CGC also performs a deep clean of all areas overnight. We also address all high-touch surface areas throughout the facility, including handrails and door handles, using disinfectant sprayers for full coverage.

We email this notice to our members directly, as well as program participants registered during the specified date and time. This notice is also posted to our website and social media feeds.

We wish the individual well and a speedy recovery. The CGC remains committed to providing the safest space possible for the physical and mental health of our community.
