Over the summer months there were many CGCSA officials and families that volunteered their time to support the athletes and coaches. There were 24 CGCSA officials volunteering on deck over the course of the summer. The volunteer officials were also responsible for 85 officiating assignments that were completed at swim meets and time trials. The following volunteer officials were certified:
Level 1: Alex Liu, Rae Liu, and Lucas Woolnough
Level 2: Jai Prakash Chaubey, David Lai, and Lesley Zhou
Level 3: Michael Song and Thomas Yang
Not only did the volunteers officiate competitions, but they also took part in the social committee. Thank you to David Lai and Thomas Yang to providing fun outside of the pool by assisting with events such as the Kickoff BBQ, Tie Dye Night, Psyche Night, and the Banquet.
A few of the CGCSA athletes had the chance to volunteer as coaches this summer. Efua Arthur, Claire Dickie, Emily Park and Hamin Park learned from their mentors, and will now be able to mentor others.
Thank you to all of the families of our swimmers who supported and made this summer so much fun!
