A Record-Breaking Summer for CGC Swim Academy Swimmers

The CGC Swim Academy swimmers deserve a big round of applause! Swimmers spent the summer breaking both provincial and CGCSA records, then finished the season with a 3rd place finish overall at the 2022 Swim Nova Scotia Summer Swimming Provincial Championships held August 19th-21st in Bedford. A very impressive result, improving upon the CGCSA’s previous best standing of 5th place achieved in 2018, not to mention winning team, high point and coach of the year awards!

Summer Camp Fun

It was an action-packed summer for all of our summer campers—making many of us adults wish we could go back to camp! Between the Aquatics Centre, the Track, the Field House and heading outdoors, this year’s campers enjoyed active fun all day long. Among the highlights are: The science campers making slime; our aspiring artists creating their very own art gallery with help from local artist Emma Jordan; superheroes-in-training creating their own shields; sports campers learning rugby basics from Rugby Nova Scotia; and all campers laughing through hot days on the outdoor slip and slide, and racing through the pool inflatables. What a great summer!
