Nova Scotia Harbour Swim
September 7, 2017 | 11:50 am – 1:00 pm
Halifax Harbour Swim (Bishop's Landing)
The Annual Harbour Swim, put on by the Province of Nova Scotia in support of United Way Halifax, is happening on September 7th. To commemorate Canada 150, they are looking for 150 swimmers, who each have to raise $150 in pledges. Swimmers will be transported to Woodside, and they will swim back across the harbour to Bishop’s Landing.
Safety boats and lifeguards will be present to ensure swimmer safety. Swimmers must be able to swim 1500m in 40 minutes and are suggested to bring a wet suit as the water temperature could be low. There will be an early check-in, with the actual swim beginning at 11:50am on September 7th (rain date September 8th).
