Get ready for the 2nd Annual Battle of the Bridges!
Mark your calendars for December 3rd! Battle of the Bridges, a friendly interclub tournament between Murphy’s Karate Academy and Halifax Ryuseikan Karate, is a great way for club members to test their skills against some great karate practitioners. All ages, all skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
- Sunday, December 3rd | 9am to 6pm
- Field House Near Court
Events include:
- Ninja Turtles – Ribbon Sparring for those ages 8 or younger
- Kata – Forms for anyone ages 5 and older
- Team Kata – in groups of 3
- Kumite – Non-contact free sparring for those aged 7 and older
- 2 versus 2 Kumite
Net proceeds from this tournament will go towards helping members from both clubs attend the 2024 Karate Canada National Championships in Laval, QC next July. Support the teams by purchasing red and blue t-shirts or posters (supplies are limited).
This year’s winning team will be presented with a Club Trophy. Good luck to all competitors!
