• March 24th | Aquatics Centre Water Polo Spring Jamboree

    Friendly Reminder: We're excited to be hosting the Water Polo Spring Jamboree on Saturday, March 24th in the Competition Pool  (5 lanes) from 12pm to 5pm. Come out and cheer on our Swim Academy Water Polo Team! Please be sure to look at our Aquatics schedule, and note that Lane Swim is limited from 12pm-5:30pm. Good luck to all the teams.

  • Field House Schedule Changes | March 24th & 25th

    Friendly Reminder: We're excited to be the host venue for the 2018 Halifax Open Volleyball Tournament (Dalhousie Tigers Senior Men's & Women's) on Saturday, March 24th from 8:30am to 10pm and Sunday, March 25th from 8am to 8pm in the full Field House. Drop-in Fitness classes that regularly run in the Field House will be relocated and the Track will be open during the Tournament. Explore the evidence-based practices of mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) that have helped thousands worldwide stay engaged and resilient. By cultivating greater awareness of our patterns and our capacities, we can mobilize our inner resources for coping, growing, and healing.

A 2-session introduction to the principles and practices that help us work with challenging situations and emotions, and mobilize our inner resources for self-awareness, insight, growing, and healing. Instruction, practice, and discussion in a relaxed group atmosphere. All are welcome.

Mindfulness is key to Molly’s work with individuals, families, and organizations. Molly studied MBSR with founder Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn (author of Fully Catastrophe Living) and trained in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. She teaches an 8-week course, Mindfulness & Emotional Wellbeing, at Saint Mary’s University.
