Take a Bite Out of Hunger

On Sunday, October 14th, 2018, the Annual Food Run, in support of FEED NOVA SCOTIA, will celebrate community, healthy living and physical literacy.

Now in its sixth year, the Food Run continues to focus on participation and enjoyment of physical activity, encouraging participants of all ages and abilities to go at their own pace. Food Run participants walk, run, and jog for a variety of reasons — some want to reach a goal, others want to try something new. No matter the reason, families, friends, individuals and teams participate in the Food Run for one common purpose; to be active while helping those in need. Instead of a registration fee, the Food Run is free with a food or cash donation. All donations collected go to FEED NOVA SCOTIA to support Nova Scotian’s in need all across the province.

As part of the Food Run, the CGC hosts a Community Festival that is also free with a food or cash donation. It is a celebration of healthy living and physical literacy, and a great opportunity to connect, share and inspire with family and friends. A physical literacy play zone (obstacle course), bouncy castles, and more are set up for active indoor fun for all during and after the run.

Registration is FREE with food or cash donation and includes:
• Entry into the Food Run 2.5km/5km walk/run
• Food Run t-shirt (while quantities last) and race bib
• Post-run treats and snacks
• Entry into prize draws
• Access to the indoor Community Festival in the CGC Field House (physical literacy play zone, bouncy castles, interactive booths and more)

Online registration is now closed.

Day of registration begins at 8am on Sunday, October 14th, 2018.
