What you need to know before you go to the New Year’s Eve Family Extravaganza:
We’re delighted to celebrate the end of another great year with you! And what better way to welcome 2020 than with a little active fun with family and friends.
Tickets
The event runs from 2pm to 5pm. There are no tickets to print or bring with you – we’ll have a list at the door. Friendly reminder that photo waivers were signed for the event at time of registration.
The event will go ahead in snow or rain, unless the Centre loses power and we have to go on generator.
Food/Cash Donation to Feed Nova Scotia
On event day, don’t forget to bring your food or cash donation with you! The suggested donation amount recommended by Feed Nova Scotia is 1kg food per participant or a $5.50 cash donation per participant. Donations will be collected upon entry to the event. <List of Most Needed Food Items>
Parking
There is lots of parking available in our lots; however we do love our planet, so public transit and carpooling are always great options. We’re located next to Lacewood Transit Terminal.
Change Rooms
Change room facilities are inside the Canada Games Centre in the main hallway. Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the Field House or on the Track. All participants should plan to bring a pair of indoor shoes to enjoy the activities. Don’t forget your towels, bathing suits and a lock too!
Activities
Activities are taking place in the Field House and the Aquatics Centre, but you can also have fun upstairs on our Track. Plus we’ll have snacks for you to enjoy on the way out.
Share Your Fun
Events are always more fun when you have someone to share them with, but you don’t have to limit your sharing to only those celebrating with you. Be sure to stop by the CGC photo booth to take your pictures and share them with us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/CGCHalifax/) and Twitter (@ CdaGamesCentre).
See you on December 31st and Happy New Year!
