Spring 2025 Program Guide Now Available

Explore all CGC has to offer through the Spring 2025 Program Guide! We are excited to share new and returning CGC favourites in recreation, fitness and aquatics. With programs available for all ages and fitness levels, find for your favourite programs or try something new and challenge your comfort zone this spring!

Here are highlights from our programming team:

Recreation

  • Youth Introduction and Development Badminton programs teach the fundamentals of the sport and reinforces skills while playing the game.
  • Learn the basics, or take your training and skills to the next level. Participants will enjoy round robin game play during Pickleball Fundamentals or Skills & Drills in the Field House (for ages 18+).
  • Youth, Family, Adult and Para-Karate programs teach basic karate movements, skill development and are a great and fun way to stay active – with a NEW addition of Adult All Ranks (for ages 12+).

Fitness and Wellness

Adult Specialized Programs (Ages 16+)

  • Improve strength, endurance and have fun in one or more of our training programs – Iron Circuit, Toughen Up or Toughen Up 101. With even more Toughen Up sessions now available!
  • Feel confident and comfortable lifting and learn strength exercises with CGC’s female Exercise Specialist in Strength Training for Women (All Levels).

Youth Programs (Ages 13-17)

  • Youth have the opportunity to work with a CGC Exercise Specialist in two programs designed for students—Youth Strength & Conditioning and Youth Speed & Power.

Perinatal Programs

  • Stroller Circuit provides new parents the chance to enjoy cardio and strength workouts and have fun while having the little ones tag along.
  • NEW! Prenatal Yoga honors the changes in ourselves and our body throughout the 9 months of connecting with baby. Our Pre and Postnatal Yoga instructor will provide you with the opportunity to strengthen and balance your body.

Wellness Programs (Ages 16+)

  • NEW! Total Mobility is designed for beginners and includes intermediate exercisers! Improve your overall flexibility and body awareness through static and dynamic stretch techniques and joint mobility work.
  • Build strength and balance through a fun yoga class combined with strength training in the lunchtime Strengthen & Flow program.
  • Functional Pilates is your go-to if you’re looking to challenge yourself with a variety of standing, seated, and lying postures to help you gain core strength and stamina.
  • Intro to Yoga and Yin Yoga are offered as well!

    Fitness Services

      Aquatics Programs

      • Learn basic aquatic survival skills and proper swimming technique with Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life programs; Group and Private inclusion swim lessons available.
      • Group lessons available for teens and adults.
      • Want to be a lifeguard or know the skills they have? If so, our Leadership Programs are the perfect fit for you. Learn vital first aid, lifeguard and lifesaving skills in our Aquatics Centre—a great path for youth employment!
      • The CGC Swim Academy programs focus on technique, athletic integrity, and of course fun.
