Field House Maintenance Closure 2019

The Field House sees a lot of activity throughout the year, so to help you stay healthy and active, the CGC itself needs a little TLC. The full Field House will be closed from Friday, August 30th to Saturday, September 7th, 2019.
August 31st UPDATE: The Track will now be open for the remainder of today (Aug. 31st) and back to our original 2-day closure on Sunday, September 1st & Monday, September 2nd for prep work.
During this scheduled maintenance, we are:
- Re-finishing the blue floor around the perimeter of the courts
- Re-finishing the hardwood floor
- Re-certification on all curtains
- Deep cleaning in the full Field House
The floor is being re-finished with a water-based finish. Indoor air quality (VOC levels) will be monitored on a daily basis.
The Fitness Centre will remain open and the following drop-in fitness classes have been relocated:
- Friday, August 30th — 9:15am HIIT & 10:30am Fit for Life moved to Track Starting Blocks
- Saturday, August 31st — 9:15am HIIT & 10:30am Zumba moved to Track Starting Blocks
- Sunday, September 1st — 9am Spin moved to Classroom & 10am Cardio Combat moved to Dance Studio
- Update: 8am Spin on Sunday, September 1st is cancelled
For classes running the week of September 2nd-8th, take a look at our Fitness schedules or stop by to see one of our Customer Service team members.
Change Room Maintenance
During the week of September 2nd, we will also be tackling repairs, painting, and a deep cleaning in these change rooms:
- Tuesday, September 3rd & Wednesday, September 4th | Women’s Wet Change Room closed
- Thursday, September 5th & Friday, September 6th | Men’s Wet Change Room closed
During these times, the Women’s and Men’s Dry Change Room will have access to the pool deck.
We understand locker availability may be tight during this time, so feel free to use the lockers in the Family Change Room. Also, don’t forget the following options available to you:
- Cubbies are located across the pedway from the Fitness Centre
- Wallet/keys/phone sized lockers are located in the Aquatics Centre and Fitness Centre
