We’re excited to share the Fall 2026 Program Guide with you! The registered programs we have ready for you will help you get back into a routine after a restoring and revitalizing summer. There is so much to choose from, in recreation, fitness and aquatics! There is always something available for all ages, interests and fitness levels. Register for something new or a favourite to get moving this fall!
Recreation
- Badminton programs teach the rules, grips, techniques and provide a chance to reinforce skills while playing the game
- Learn the basics or take your game to the next level during Pickleball Fundamentals or Skills & Drills in the Field House (for ages 18+)
- Youth, Family, Adult and Para-Karate programs teach basic karate movements, skill development and are a great and fun way to stay active
- NEW! Little Ninjas, children ages 3-4 will learn fundamental movement skills such as, balance, coordination, listening, confidence and basic martial arts concepts through fun, engaging activities.
Fitness and Wellness
Adult Specialized Programs (Ages 16+)
- Challenge your workout routine in one or more of our specialized programs – Toughen Up or NEW! Introduction to Spin
- Let one of our female Exercise Specialist teach you the strength exercises in Strength Training for Women (All Levels) that will set you up for success and boost your confidence during strength workouts
- Join a dynamic, full-body workout program centered around the Swiss ball in Stability Ball Strength and Core
Youth Programs (Grades 10-12)
- Youth Strength & Conditioning program provides youth ages 12-17 an opportunity to work with an Exercise Specialist and master the principles of effective training
- Youth Speed & Power will help you gain a solid foundation in speed, power and agility while improving your athleticism
Perinatal Programs
- Prenatal Yoga – Learn postures to help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, keep the body flexible, and alleviate the many common discomforts of pregnancy
- Stroller Circuit – Bring along your little one(s), and join our certified postnatal fitness instructor through cardio and strength exercises
Wellness Programs (Ages 16+)
- Total Mobility is designed for beginners and includes intermediate exercisers! Improve your overall flexibility and body awareness through static and dynamic stretch techniques and joint mobility work
- Functional Pilates is your go-to if you’re looking to challenge yourself with a variety of standing, seated, and lying postures, using props and weights to help you gain core strength and stamina
- Mobility Yoga improves your range of motion in joints and muscles, supporting bone density and resetting the nervous system. We offer other yoga programs too—Intro to Yoga and Yin Yoga
- NEW! Mobility and Balance, a combination of gentle strength exercises, controlled movements, balance and stretching to improve mobility, balance, and flexibility.
Fitness Services
- Fitness Services are also available and include Personal Training and Dryland Team Training
Aquatics Programs
- Learn basic aquatic survival skills and proper swimming technique with Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life programs, Group and Private inclusion swim lessons available
- Group lessons available for teens and adults
- Want to be a lifeguard or know the skills they have? If so, our Leadership Programs are the perfect fit for you. Learn vital first aid, lifeguard and lifesaving skills in our Aquatics Centre—a great path for youth employment!
- The CGC Swim Academy programs focus on technique, athletic integrity, and of course fun in these programs—Introduction to Competitive Swimming; Summer Swim Team Off-Season Training; Lifesaving Sport Team and Masters Swim Team
- Work on your swimming skills through our Private Swim Coaching program. Register for one or more lessons for stroke development and to build your endurance fitness. Perfect for those who aren’t quite ready for the Masters level swim team but want to keep improving (16+)!
