Fall 2024 Program Guide Is Ready!

Fall brings a return to routine and we’re excited to share another season of inspiring registered programs to keep you moving. The range of offerings in recreation, fitness and aquatics means there is something available for all ages, interests and fitness levels. Register for your favourite programs, and/or step out of your comfort zone and try something new this September!

Recreation

  • Introduction and Development Badminton programs teach the rules, grips, techniques of the sport and provide a chance to reinforce skills while playing the game
  • Learn the basics or take your game to the next level during Pickleball Fundamentals or Skills & Drills in the Field House (for ages 18+)
  • Youth, Family, Adult and Para-Karate programs teach basic karate movements, skill development and are a great and fun way to stay active

Fitness and Wellness

1-Day Workshops

  • These workshops are a great opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, meet other members with similar interests, or maybe even discover a passion new to you! Be sure to register early if something catches your eye.

Adult Specialized Programs (Ages 16+)

  • Challenge your workout routine in one or more of Dylan’s programs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays—Iron Circuit, Toughen Up or Toughen Up 101
  • Let CGC’s female Exercise Specialist Sarah teach you the strength exercises in Strength Training for Women (All Levels) that will set you up for success and boost your confidence during strength workouts

Youth Programs (Grades 10-12)

  • Youth Strength & Conditioning program provides youth in grades 10-12 an opportunity to work with an Exercise Specialist and master the principles of effective training
  • NEW! Youth Speed & Power will help you gain a solid foundation in speed, power and agility while improving your athleticism

Wellness Programs (Ages 16+)

  • NEW! Learn basic Bachata and Salsa dance moves in a fun no-pressure environment
  • Strengthen & Flow is a fun yoga program with weights and strength building motions
  • Functional Pilates is your go-to if you’re looking to challenge yourself with a variety of standing, seated, and lying postures, using props and weights to help you gain core strength and stamina
  • We offer other yoga programs too—Intro to Yoga and Yin Yoga
  • Elevate your practice in Power Yoga, a high-energy program incorporating a flowing sequence of poses
  • Embrace the opportunity for change, growth and enhanced well-being in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy

    Fitness Services

      Aquatics Programs

      • Learn basic aquatic survival skills and proper swimming technique with Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life programs; Group and Private inclusion swim lessons available
      • Group lessons available for teens and adults
      • Want to be a lifeguard or know the skills they have? If so, our Leadership Programs are the perfect fit for you. Learn vital first aid, lifeguard and lifesaving skills in our Aquatics Centre—a great path for youth employment!
      • The CGC Swim Academy programs focus on technique, athletic integrity, and of course fun in these programs—Introduction to Competitive Swimming; Summer Swim Team Off-Season Training; Lifesaving Sport Team and Masters Swim Team
