About Learn to Play

The Canada Games Centre (CGC) has partnered with the RBC Learn to Play Project to help financially disadvantaged children and youth participate in programs at the CGC.

These programs are based on the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) movement to improve the quality of sport and physical literacy amongst Canadians.

Who can apply?

Parents/Guardians can apply for children/youth aged 4 months to 15 years. The program is open to individual children and youth, not groups or teams. Funding is available for multiple children within the same family. Funding is also available for children and youth requiring extra attention due to a physical and/or cognitive disability.

What do the funds cover?

Canadian Sport for LifeFunding is available for all CS4L approved programs per participant/year. Look for the CS4L maple leaf symbol in the current CGC program guide for programs that qualify.

Is the application confidential?

Confidentiality of all applicants and recipients will be protected.
