Payadora is an award-winning ensemble that performs arrangements drawing from Argentinian/Uruguayan traditions (tangos, milongas, waltzes, and folk music such as the Zamba and chacarera), as well as original songs inspired by that tradition.
This hugely popular and award-winning ensemble specializes in its own compositions and arrangements of South American folk music.
Audiences can expect vibrant, playful, and virtuosic music, with sultry rhythms and infectious energy that will affect them on a visceral level and make them want to dance! With the artistry of classical music but with the rhythmic fire and wild abandon of Latin music, these compositions encompass every human emotion – often several times in one piece alone.
