Most people considering suicide share their distress and their intent. The ASIST workshop is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.

Well over one million caregivers have participated in this two-day, highly interactive, practical, practice-oriented workshop in suicide first aid which includes powerful videos, small group discussions, and skills practice.

This workshop is useful for mental health professionals, nurses, physicians, teachers, counselors, youth workers, police and correctional staff, school support staff, students, clergy, community volunteers and anyone concerned about family or friends who may be at risk. This training is open to everyone. (In-house training is also available for individual schools, organizations, groups, and businesses)

More information on the ASIST workshop including its content can be found on the Living Works website at http://livingworks.net/
